As an intergral part of our school curriculum since 1985, the Community Language Program at Âé¶¹Çø is available to every student two hours per week. The school offers three community languages:
- Nepali
- Macedonian
- ChineseÌý
To support the needs of the rest of our LBOTE students, a Cultural Immersion Program is directed using the languages of;
- Greek
- Spanish
- Japanese

As outlinmed in the Department of Education's Community Languages program K-6 guidelines, the focus of the Community Language is communicative competence. Students are encouraged to communicate effectively through the development of skills in listening, speaking, reading and writing. This supports the development and maintenance of their first or heritage language. Ìý

Community Language Program Requirements
The Community Languages Program currently provides an opportunity for primary school students to gain and/or further development communication skills in a community language. Âé¶¹Çø has authority to participate when:
- the selected language is spoken by the school community
- parental, community and staff support is present
- adequate classroom space for the program is availableÌý
